Guarantees
What GBDDL guarantees by construction and where behavior depends on external inputs. GBDDL validation and pricing are shared across Chef, the HTTP API and MCP. Consult the recipe language, output formats, and credit model for supported syntax and behavior.
Constraints and relationships
Validation checks syntax, physical types, generator arguments, key feasibility, relationships and policy ceilings before charging. Accepted recipes enforce their declared primary keys, unique constraints and supported foreign-key/comparison rules. Ordinary columns may repeat values. same(...) coordinates only the supported value family; it is not a guarantee of arbitrary real-world correlations.
Randomness and preview
Recipes do not expose a random seed. Each preview uses fresh randomness and is representative, not an exact prefix of a later job. Preview returns table samples and may include additional parent rows needed by their foreign keys; it is not a preview of every final file or test runner.
Language and realism
Unicode is supported, but vocabulary coverage depends on the generator and selected language. Missing vocabulary falls back to English; review validation warnings. Names and company vocabulary are curated test values, not verified real people or businesses. Filler sentences are not a promise of natural-language prose. Check-digit validity does not establish that an identifier belongs to a real entity.
External systems
Exported SQL/load scripts assume compatible existing tables, permissions and constraints. Scenario bundles run in your chosen test client against your own target; network behavior, response contents and target availability are outside generation guarantees.
Jobs, downloads and prices
A successful validation does not reserve credits or capacity. Job submission validates and prices again against current policy and the caller's cost ceiling. Failed jobs are refunded. Generated artifacts have a retention window; download completed results before they expire. Format availability, row/column limits, memory ceilings and PDF page limits are policy-controlled. Large recipes may exceed preview limits even when generation is otherwise allowed.
